Ableton Live In-Session Mastering is designed for artists who want the mastering stage to happen directly inside the original .als project. It is ideal when your session contains routing, buses or processing that should stay exactly where it is.

You send the Ableton Live project with Collect All and Save, plus references and your release goal. We refine the master in context, inside your session, with precise control over tone, dynamics and loudness. The result is a finished master, a cleaner project and a more transparent workflow from start to delivery.

FAQ

What is Ableton Live In-Session Mastering?

It means mastering is done directly inside your Ableton Live project instead of from a standalone stereo export.

What exactly should I send?

Send your Ableton Live project file, the full Collect All and Save project packed as ZIP, 1–2 references, your release goal and loudness preference.

Do I need to prepare the session in a specific way?

Yes. The project should open correctly, without missing files. If third-party plug-ins may cause issues, freeze or print selected tracks when needed.

How do revisions work?

Revisions are unlimited for 7 days and apply to the same session version. A new export or new mix is treated as a new version.

When does turnaround start?

Turnaround starts once we receive the full project files and completed brief.

What do I receive at the end?

You receive the updated project, final master files and a written mastering summary.

Plug-ins and tools used in the project

In the project we use a workflow built around tools that ensure precision, repeatability, and session compatibility:

FabFilter Pro-Q 4 (EQ, tonal correction, surgical work)
FabFilter Pro-MB (multiband dynamics control)
SSL Channel Strip (tone, control, character)
StandardCLIP (peak control / safe clipping)
Bettermaker EQ232D (musical shaping and character)
Ableton Live stock devices (native tools, session stability and compatibility)

Note: if your project includes third-party plug-ins that may cause compatibility issues, we may ask you to freeze/print selected tracks (standard procedure).
